Award Program Goals
The goal of the International ePhilanthropy Awards recognition program is to encourage and
support best practices and the pursuit of excellence in the many facets of ePhilanthropy. Through this program the ePhilanthropy Foundation furthers its
mission to support the ethical and efficient use of the Internet for philanthropic purposes through education and advocacy.
These awards honor those individuals, organizations, and companies working in the ePhilanthropy field. Nominees will have demonstrated
extraordinary
talent, creativity, and insight in drawing the public's attention to the important use of the Internet for philanthropic purposes and have created
services or strategies that support this effort.
The International ePhilanthropy Awards program is open to anyone engaged in the use of the Internet for philanthropic purposes. This awards program
does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, gender, sexual orientation, religion, national and ethnic origin, or disability.
Awards
Each Award provides for public recognition of excellence in the winner's chosen area of concentration, a cash award of $500 to the charity of
their choice and a distinctive glass sculpture award designed by artist Edward Kachurik suitable for
display.
Applicant Eligibility
Nominations will be sought from the broadest possible outreach to the ePhilanthropy community, anyone, anywhere will be invited to nominate the
'best of the web' in each of the categories. Individuals, organizations and companies working in the ePhilanthropy field who have demonstrated extraordinary
talent, creativity and insight in drawing the public's attention to the important use of the Internet for philanthropic purposes and/or have created
services or strategies that support this effort are encouraged to apply. It is acceptable to nominate individuals, companies, and organizations in
multiple categories.
Not Eligible
Employees of the ePhilanthropy Foundation, members of the International ePhilanthropy Awards Judging panel their immediate family (spouse, siblings,
parents, and children) are not eligible for consideration.
Required Application Forms & Documents
To apply, review the nomination instructions and complete the online nomination form by
July 28, 2006.
Selection of Winners
Recipients are selected by the International ePhilanthropy Awards judging panel. The winners will be announced during the awards ceremony on September 21, 2006.
Terms and Conditions for Winners
Winners will be required to first accept the award and provide the rights to publicize before the award is granted.
